If you've got this far, I think I can assume that you have the various compilers, etc. mentioned in section 3. You do not need any additional tools.
You can get both QPopper and Fetchmail from the Solaris freeware page, either as pre-compiled packages or as source code.[20] I am assuming that you will be using the source code and compiling it, in which case you can get the packages at:4
